Douglas Zeisel, Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Since leaving teaching over 30 years ago, Mr. Zeisel has been a founder or co-founder of more than 6 enterprises, one of which was sold to a NYSE listed company (Teleflex®). He has also served in roles as Managing Director, CFO, COO and Chief Restructuring Officer. Doug’s career includes 16 years’ experience doing turnarounds and workouts and he is certified
as a Turnaround Professional (CTP) which requires a deep understanding of all aspects of business operations. Prior to forming TCV, he was a partner at Tatum, a national professional services firm that provided interim CFO services to middle market companies. Doug has a M.S. in Finance degree from Loyola University and a B.S. (Physics) from the University of Maryland. Rob Meissner, Co-Founder
Rob has led and directed numerous companies through the product incubation stage to successful commercialization. With more than 25 years of experience in computer hardware, software, educational technology, and curriculum, Rob has a unique combination of operations, services, strategic planning, product management, and marketing skills.
He has an extensive track record of creating successful “Go to Market” business strategies and marketing campaigns in both Fortune 500 companies and startup tech enterprises. He previously led the marketing efforts of an Ed Tech company where he grew revenues from $0.5 M to $50 M in 5 years. Rob is highly experienced in product development and marketing and once led a business model restructuring for a division of a fortune 500 company which produced over half that company’s profits. Rob’s resume includes stints at Compaq, Micron, CurrTech Integrations, NCR and others. Jackie Luo, Partner
Jackie’s unique combination of strategic consulting, executive management in Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial leadership experiences make her a highly valued TCV partner. Most recently, she invested in a Baltimore based SaaS company and became CEO; leading it from a small start up to a market leader in asset tracking solutions to the
aerospace and defense industry. The company was acquired by a publicly traded company in 2018. After the exit, Jackie wants to work with other entrepreneurs, helping the founders to more efficiently build, accelerate and maximize their market opportunities. J. Gary McDaniel, Partner
Throughout his career, Gary has worked in emerging ventures, Fortune 500 corporations, and multinational enterprises undergoing various stages of start-up, turnaround, and rapid-growth. A chemical engineer with an MBA, he possesses a solid working knowledge of all of the key functions of business having achieved increasing success in a diversity of positions in sales and marketing, finance and accounting, manufacturing, research and
development, and supply and distribution, culminating in several challenging senior executive roles. Gary is one of the rare individuals who stand at the crossroads of science and business. After rising through the ranks, Gary became a “serial CEO” and has now led 6 start-up / early stage companies, several to successful exit. He has written business plans, sales and marketing plans, and offering memoranda that have raised over $50 million in capital from angel investors, venture capitalists, private equity groups, banks, and governments. Operationally, he has built and led high-performance sales, marketing, and technical teams that opened multiple market verticals and delivered as much as 4-fold sales growth in 2-3 years.
